villagetovillage.net connects nurses and doctors in the U.S. with people just like them who are working to meet some of the overwealming medical needs for the poor.

Our Medical Aid Village was begun by Bunny Tigerman, a registered nurse, who visited India with villagetovillage.net and was moved by the stark contrast she saw between medical care in the U.S. and in India. Working closely with our contacts in Rajahmundry, she began leading medical missions to poor villages, tribal villages in the hill country, and two leper colonies, providing what medical aid she could.

It was soon obvious that a more permanent facility was needed and Bunny began forming a network (or 'village") of people who wanted to help. It is amazing what a few strong-willed people can do!

The villagetovillage.net clinic for the poor and needy was officially inaugrated on February 24, 2005. It is now open for service providing free medical care to all who come. Most visitors to the clinic have never had medical care before. The clinic is situated in the center of ten villages and is on a bus route for easy access. Several of the village presidents were present at the opening ceremony and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the unimaginable gift to the community. The ribbon was cut by Bunny Tigerman RN on behalf of Village-to-Village.
